Parkinson's Movement Training

This class uses a variety of exercises to work on movement strategies targeted for Parkinson’s symptoms, regarding gait, balance, strength and extension. Class may use equipment, including hand weights, bands, balls or partners, seated and standing, stimulating our bodies and stimulating dopamine!

PD-Connect BASIX

Stay a step ahead of your Parkinson’s progression with the PD-Connect BASIX™ exercise program. A multi-FUNctional class focusing on Balance, Aerobics, Strength, Integration and eXcellence. The goal is to incorporate a variety of techniques to address overall posture, stability, agility, cognition and make good movements carryover into the real world. Learn how to strengthen your neural pathways to slow the progression of the disease and maintain optimal function.The research shows that high-intensity exercise is linked with better outcomes for Parkinson’s disease and can slow the progression of the disease. Classes are appropriate for all levels of PD, but emphasis is on combined movements for newly-diagnosed, or high-functioning people with Parkinson’s (those who are able to walk, run, and jump without assistance or supervision). This class is taught by a physical therapist.

The Perez Method for Parkinson's Fitness

The Perez Method for Parkinson’s Fitness focuses on incorporating exercise safely into daily life and selecting from proven strategies to create an ideal personalized program tailored to each individual's symptoms. Sessions are private and 60 minutes with a certified coach. Community support is key, and caregivers are invited to be part of the process, ensuring a holistic approach to improving well-being.
