About Us
The Parkinson’s Support Group of Sonoma County is a non-profit 501c3 organization.
By using a compassionate approach to community building, we reduce the fear and isolation associated with a Parkinson’s diagnosis.
Our Mission
Our Purpose
We exist to ensure that no one faces a Parkinson’s diagnosis alone.
We see a world in which all affected by Parkinson’s have the hope, confidence and support needed to live life to the fullest.
Our Vision
We provide local opportunities for people with Parkinson’s, and their companions, to be better educated and resourced.
We feature speakers for monthly meetings, followed by breakout groups of care partners and patients. The sharing of stories and resources is enormously helpful.
Although our meetings previously had over a hundred in-person attendees, we have been expanding our online presence during COVID.
Additionally, we host smaller groups, such as Parkinsonian Voice and Communication classes, dance classes, and small support groups for caregivers and women with Parkinson’s.
